LakesideIT supports Radio 1
Chris Moyles brought his early morning breakfast show to the Keepmoat Stadium.
With the aid of LakesideIT Chris and the team were able to broadcast to reported listeners in excess of 8 million.
Ashley Harris says "we were involved from day one and met with Rhys one of the Executive Producers and the outside broadcasting manager to show them round the stadium but also to discuss their requirements.
After this event we then tested the communications etc to ensure that it was able to deliver the requirements specified as the show was coming from the Restaurant where the stadium had never broadcasted previously.
The event was kept confidential until Radio 1 made the announcement on air.
We were confident that we would not encounter an issue as we regularly support BBC Radio Sheffield, BBC Five Live, Trax FM and many others at the stadium on match days. It was an early start but we were available on-site just incase but the broadcast went smoothly and Chris Moyles himself said that the systems we installed "worked a treat" and that "you couldn't fault it!" We also received positive comments from the entire breakfast team including Comedy Dave, Aled, Dominic and Carrie.
The broadcast followed a successful Karaoke night at Doncaster College and was part of the build up for Radio 1's Kaiser Chief event at Doncaster Dome.
